The Lively Arts Series continues with beloved, two-time
GRAMMY®-winner, Kathy Mattea. Kathy and her 2006 performance captured the hearts of everyone who experienced this remarkable concert. Having made such a connection with us, it is only appropriate she return to help us celebrate the 80th anniversary of the opening of The Midland with a special holiday concert! With a mix of folk, bluegrass, and Celtic songs, this multiple CMA and ACM award winner is constantly evolving. As a tribute to her mining heritage, her most recent album, COAL, released in April, 2008, is a tribute to "my place and my people," states Kathy Mattea.
