Meet your next two best friends! Jeremy Davis and Clay Johnson are bringing their acclaimed Fabulous Equinox Orchestra to The Midland for a night that celebrates the heart and soul of American music.
Broadway World calls them "a fiery hot and soulful Southern big band that is the 'Hope Diamond' of entertainment. That is to say, there is only one and it is spectacular!... This is Great American Music at its finest."

This isn't just a concert – it's a musical journey through the sounds that define American culture. From the moment bandleader Jeremy Davis raises his tenor sax and Clay Johnson's powerful voice fills our historic theatre, you'll be transported to the vibrant streets of New Orleans and beyond.

What to Expect:
• A full big band experience featuring top-tier musicianship
• Beloved hits from Motown, Country, Folk, and Gospel traditions
• The stories behind America's greatest songs
• High-energy performances blending Rat Pack sophistication with Highwaymen swagger
• Arrangements spanning the Great American Songbook to Texas Swing to Broadway

Jeremy Davis, a Louisiana native who relocated his band to Georgia on the day Hurricane Katrina struck, leads over 160 performances annually. His bands have shared stages with legends like David Sanborn, David Foster, Ellis Marsalis, and George Clinton.

Clay Johnson, raised in a family of preachers and Folk/Gospel singers, brings decades of vocal performance experience and an infectious stage presence that has captivated audiences across the globe.
Together, Davis & Johnson are making their own revisions to America's songbook – honoring tradition while creating something entirely fresh and unforgettable.

Whether you're a longtime fan of big band music or discovering this sound for the first time, Spirit of New Orleans promises an evening of joy, soul, and musical excellence that only The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra can deliver.
