Some musicians chase a sound. Amanda Grace builds one of her own.
The Minnesota songwriter and pianist drifts effortlessly between folk, alt-pop, rock, and Americana, never tweaking a genre to fit her, but simply owning each one. Critic Dave Franklin of The Big Takeover put it best: “As she hops from one genre to another, she doesn’t try to change, tweak, alter, or reinvent them. She simply owns them. And that is the secret of making yourself stand apart from the pack.”
Her resume reflects that range. A Front of the Line Pass from The Voice in 2016. Eight albums and counting. A Blues & Roots Radio Album of the Year nomination for “Please Dear Sun.” Stages from the Minnesota State Fair to the Landmark Center in St Paul, from the Historic Paramount Theatre to the Mile of Music Festival.
But what makes Amanda Grace special isn’t the accolades. It’s the writing. Her ballads are wrapped in warm vocals and lived-in honesty, shaped by both real joy and real loss. She writes for people, not for charts, and you can feel it in every melody.
In 2026, she’s expanding her live work with two new shows: Amanda Grace Rock & Soul, a high-energy blend of originals and covers from Pink, Taylor Swift, and Alicia Keys, and Electric Blue, a tribute to The Cranberries.
This is the kind of show you’ll still be thinking about on the drive home.
