It’s Selection Sunday – and we’re making it the best basketball day of the year. We’re screening Hoosiers – widely considered the greatest basketball movie ever made. Gene Hackman stars as Coach Norman Dale, a man with a complicated past who takes over a tiny Indiana high school basketball team with more heart than anyone gave them credit for.
Dennis Hopper earned an Oscar nomination as Shooter, the town drunk fighting for his own kind of comeback. Together, they lead the Hickory Huskers on an impossible run to the state championship. Based on the true story of the 1954 Milan Indians, this is a movie about second chances, small towns, and what happens when nobody believes in you except the people standing right next to you. It’s the kind of story that hits different on a big screen – and even more so on the eve of March Madness.
Then – stay for the bracket reveal! After credit role, we’ll put it right up on our giant screen. Grab your bracket sheets and your people – let’s find out who’s dancing.
Fun fact: The First Four games tip off in Dayton, Ohio just two days later – March Madness starts right here in the Buckeye State!
Rated PG | 1 hour, 55 minutes
