One Week. One Stage. One Unforgettable Summer.
The Midland Theatre is proud to welcome back Missoula Children's Theatre and their legendary Red Truck Tour for a one-week summer residency — and this year, they're bringing the magic of Aladdin to our historic stage.
A magic lamp. A Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders. Wise Genies, a powerful Sultan, lost Penguins, talking Palm Trees, and one young hero trying to make a good impression on a Princess — all without a single wish to spare. Adapted by Michael McGill with original music and lyrics, this is a swirling sandstorm of Arabian adventure packed with memorable characters, laugh-out-loud moments, and enough heart to fill 1,001 nights.
And the best part? The entire cast is made up of local students — right here from our community.
How It Works
Professional touring directors from Missoula Children's Theatre arrive at The Midland with everything needed for a full production — costumes, sets, and a whole lot of theatrical energy. The only thing missing is the cast. That's where your child comes in.
Students in grades 1–12 audition on Monday and, in just five days, rehearse, develop their characters, learn their parts, and perform a fully staged production on The Midland's historic stage.
