The Drowsy Lads are a Columbus, Ohio-based 5-piece traditional Irish band made up of two brothers (John and Daniel McKewen), a father and son (Phil and Josh Franck), and lifelong friend Bryan Brookes. With 20+ years of performing together, they’ve earned the distinction of “Best Irish-American Band of 2018” and have headlined major festivals across the country including Milwaukee Irish Fest, Dublin Irish Fest, Dayton Celtic Festival, and more.

Each member is a multi-instrumentalist—fiddle, button accordion, tenor banjo, flute, whistle, guitar, bouzouki, Uilleann pipes, concertina, and bodhrán. Their 2024 anniversary album “Time Flies” celebrates two decades of friendship, music, and community.
